When I talked to Rin the first time I got on the Airship (right after the Al Bhed blew up home and all) I had all of the primers already (A-Z). I started speaking to him in Al Bhed and he was all impressed so gave me 99 Underdog's Secrets. Niiice.

Underdogs secret
OK I was wondering about the whole use for underdog's secret too.. Is it a bird is it a frog... not quite... IT'S NOT USELESS! :-o Who knew? ffinsider.net that's who! Underdog's Secret can be used to customize weapons. the 8th ablility down on this page http://www.ffinsider.net/ff10/wability.php is double overdrive and to customize your weapon with this ability you need 30x Underdog's Secret.

Obviously you were too stupid to read the content, it tells you that you can obtain double overdrive with Underdog's Secret x30!

mix underdog's secret with level 3 key sphere for trio of 9999! which makes all of your characters that are out at the time that you do the mix do 9999 damage, no matter what! so say that your fighting sin (any of them) and you have Rikku with her overdrive, Lufu with double cast and Tidus with quick hit out and you use mix and get trio of 9999, use mug with rikku to steal and do 9999 damage, use double cast with one of your least costly spells to do 19998 damage and then use quick hit with tidus to do easy 9999 damage hits... no boss stands a chance!
